Men’s Traditional
Dress of Uttar Pradesh

1. Kurta Pyjamas:

salwar as the lower body garment and worn over a kameez. 

3. Dhoti Kurta:

sometimes called panche, is a style of sarong that is tied
in a way that makes it appear as though it is “loose trousers.” A
rectangular piece of unstitched fabric, typically 4.5 meters long, is used to
make the dhoti. It is wrapped around the waist and legs and knotted in the
front or back.

Dhotis are available in solid or plain hues; formal dress is
indicated by silk dhotis with embroidered borders. 

Women’s Traditional Dress of Uttar Pradesh

1. Sari:

The sari is a traditional waist-wrapped garment with one end
draped over the shoulder. It is made of an unstitched drape that ranges in
length from 4.5 top meters to 1200 millimeters in width. 

2. Salwar kameez:

Salwar kameez are loose-fitting pants that narrow to a
cuffed bottom after being broad at the waist. They become pleated at the waist
and are secured with an elastic belt or drawstring.
